BROKER SERVICES
Indy started off selling as a broker to fund collecting. Still do, in fact. Being the best was the top priority. Not making a seller or buyer wait was a big thing for Indy. Booksellers are an important part of this world, and Indy wants to be the best at it. Thus, keeping a low rate for customers is significant. Indy only charges 15% of the total sale. This is on items from $1 – $4999USD. $5000 and up is at only 10%. These fees are designed to be affordable, and Indy will never make his seller wait for his or her monies. The seller is paid promptly and in the form of payment that is helpful to the seller. PayPal, Wire, check, WISE, EMT and more are offered. Indy takes on payment plans to garner more buyers at NO COST to either seller or the buyer. The seller is paid out, while Indy holds the loan and gathers the payments. This is a service offered that is taken up more than 70% of the time! Indy will review pricing for each item with the seller before going to market to manage all expectations. Indy is always on call for any questions and will handle any issues with upset clients, so the seller is shielded from conflict. Privacy is PRIORITY ONE. No buyer will know where the item or items came from unless the seller wants them too. Any questions, please send Indy a message… the line is open!
BUYING COLLECTION
Indy will simply buy it all. Sometimes people just really want nothing to do with the selling part of collections. That is again where Indy comes in. Typically your rate of return is less this way but less stress/work on your end. Again, Indy can even come and pack it all up for you and ship it too!
APPRAISALS
Indy does full appraisals for insurance companies or just in case you want to know what your collection is worth. The cost is quite reasonable and is dependent on the scope of work needed for the appraisal.
SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION
While Indy sees signatures of all authors and artists on the daily…. Being an expert in all is just not possible. However, with Stephen King’s signature this is totally in the wheelhouse of Indy Editions. Signature verification can be done on Indy’s letterhead to keep with your treasure as confirmation you have a legit signature. Taking the time to get this right is so important in a day where there are more forgeries of SK’s signature than any other!
SHIPPING SAVING AND BOOK STORAGE
Sometimes it’s hard to get a package. The seller/company may not ship to your address… whether it’s the country or the area you may live. Indy believes collecting should be worldwide inclusive. If you for any reason cannot get an item, for a small fee Indy will do it for you. Sometimes ‘shipping sticker shock’ is a very real thing as well. Indy will allow you to ship multiple items from different sources and then send just one package instead of many and thus saving your hard earned dollars so you can buy, you guessed it… MORE BOOKS! Indy’s name was born from one of the greatest treasure hunters in pop culture. When Indy started finding items, it was what Indy did best… it became a funny joke, then a business name. Now it would be a legacy. When it comes to Stephen King and Fine Press, Indy’s success rate at locating items is very high, at nearly 80%! When and if the item is found, Indy will reach out and see if you are still after your coveted item. Simple as that.
SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS:
From the Master of Ceremonies of KingCon, San Diego Comic Con Panels to Podcasts and more, knowledge is power and when one is not shy about doing so in front of a group of people Indy is the one for the job. THE GO BETWEEN:
Many times Indy has been contacted by a party that has made a deal with another party. They want the item shipped to me and funds collected. Indy’s rock solid reputation is well documented in the book world and this takes the worry out with both parties that do not sell on the regular yet have made a deal. The fee for this is ONLY 5%. It’s very small for peace of mind. Indy will help coordinate and handle all paperwork too if shipping is involved. Having happy customers is all that matters even when Indy is not involved in the sale itself.
INDY'S HELPING HAND:
Indy isn’t just all about earning money. Indy is more than happy to help free of charge ANY COLLECTOR THAT WANTS TO GROW THEIR COLLECTION. Indy Editions volunteers Administration time to many Facebook groups to help others with values, condition and more if it helps them get the item that they are after, even if it’s not Indy’s sale.
